A blue sky at morning. A woman crossing the park with confused news of an accident. A plane off course, a building struck, and then the truth. Watching the second tower hit and the word accident evaporating in the September air. The horror, the disgust, replaced by worry for friends, family, fellow New Yorkers and countrymen. For those who witnessed, a murder never to be forgotten. For those too young, a history difficult to understand. For all, a moment to be silent, to respect, to think upon the souls stolen away, and to guard the Liberty that remains. #Neverforget
