Last Rose of Summer

Rose Gardens Delaware Park

We saw the proverbial Last Rose of Summer at the Rose Gardens in Delaware Park. Actually, many fading roses graced the last light of summer near the Marcy Casino. The gardens have seen ups and downs since their creation in  the 1930s. The latest restoration would have been worthy of the musings of Thomas Moore himself. Once again Buffalonians and visitors were basking in the beginnings of another fine evening that just happens to be the last moments of summer. In the morning comes the equinox.
