Hoyt Lake Rowboats The first record of boat rentals in Delaware Park was about 118 years ago. The lake on a Sunday afternoon teamed with leisurely boaters in wicker hats and parasols. In 2008 there was a revival of this charming activity. As you pass the lake you can see the boats strung together in the center of the water. Other times a number of boats can be seen crisscrossing the lake. There have been questions of water quality with the old waterway, but we believe it is on the mend and this activity will persist. This is good news for rowers and the hundreds of others that enjoy the area around Hoyt Lake every day. @HoytLakeRowboats |
