Michael Testone, Bella Pascal Zionts, Jon Abrahams and Matthew Quinn (Writer/Producer) (Actress) (Director) (Cinematographer)
The world premiere of Two For One kicked off the Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival tonight. The highly anticipated directorial debut of Jon Abrahams, featuring the city of Buffalo and many of its talented citizens, played for its first real audience. The longtime friendship between Director Abrahams and Cinematographer Matt Quinn (Buffalo native) exposed the director to Buffalo in his youth. When the story of Two For One developed, Buffalo seemed a perfect setting. Utilizing both NY/Hollywood production and local crew/ talent like Isabel Zionts (pictured above), the production found its chemistry. The packed Dipson theater was filled with laughter and teary eyes, as the film delighted on this opening night of the BDFFF. Mayor Byron Brown and Rich Wall, Director of Operations for the Buffalo Niagara Film Office, were on hand to welcome Abrahams back to town. The festival runs from November 4-13 with opportunity to see this film, as well as dozens of other features, shorts and videos. From here, Two For One moves on to some film festivals and eventual wider theatrical release. Mr. Abrahams' positive production experience in Buffalo promises to see him back here as soon as June to start a new project. |
