You had me at gargoyles. The Old Buffalo Central Post Office opened in 1901 for the heafty sum of 1.5 million dollars. The Ellicot Street location served as Post Office for over sixty years. The Gothic Revival buiding later became the city campus of Erie Community College in 1981. A decade earlier the structure had been listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
